Born in Phalia, Punjab, on 19th August 1969, Yogi Shamshad Haider grew up with a quiet curiosity about life and the human spirit. What began as a search for inner peace led him across borders—to the mountains of Nepal, the ashrams of India, and the monasteries of Tibet and China—where he immersed himself in yoga, meditation, and ancient eastern healing practices.
Among his greatest influences was S.N. Goenka, the legendary Vipassana master, under whom he trained in the art of silent meditation. These years of practice instilled in him a belief that yoga is not just exercise, but a profound science of self-discovery and healing
To Yogi Haider, yoga is not about twisting the body into difficult shapes. He often tells his students:
“Yoga is a journey of the self, through the self, to the self”
His teachings combine Hatha Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Pranayama, and Meditation, but the true essence is always the same —guiding people toward balance, resilience, and peace of mind.
From his early days in Phalia to leading yoga workshops at Pakistan’s largest cultural and educational institutions, Yogi Haider’s story is one of dedication and service. He continues to inspire students to look within, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the harmony that has always lived inside them.
